Jessie Dax-Setkus is a resident of Southern Orange County and a graduate of California State University Fullerton. Open to students from Los Angeles and its surrounding counties, participants attend daily sessions, presentations, and interactive lessons hosted by professionals in the medical field, including: California College of the Arts pre-college program is designed to allow high school students at all artistic levels to explore the arts. High school is the perfect time to learn more about the opportunities in Computer Science and Engineering that await in college and beyond! Our goals are twofold: to ensure the highest quality of care to our hospitalized patients and to serve as primary educators/mentors to medical students, nurse practitioner students, residents and fellows in the care of hospitalized patients. The California State Summer School for Math & Science (COSMOS) mission is to motivate the most creative minds of the new generation of prospective scientists, SSI is dedicated to serving and assisting with the transitions of low-income students, first-generation students, international students, undocumented students, former foster youth, transfer students, adult-learners, students in transition, students with dependents, formerly incarcerated and/or system impacted students, and students with disabilities. We read through like tons of essays, like I think it took us like a couple weeks just to get through everybodys. That part has really aligned with my interests and Im glad that I signed up for this program so I can experience more of that. The UCI Cancer Research Institute sponsors a summer program in cancer research for high school students. Senior students are able to work on a research project with a Pomona faculty member- this research has the potential to be published in academic journals.
